UPDATED: E3 Awards Nominations for Battlefield 3

E3 has come and gone and Battlefield 3 made a strong showing at the convention. Fans are able to see multiplayer for the first time in our fully playable multiplayer demo, giving everyone the chance to see things for themselves.
To compliment the great fan reaction thus far, the critics have been stopping by, not only earning some kind words for Battlefield 3, but also some Best Of E3 nominations, and we’re over the moon from these great honors.

I remember seeing footage from the 2002 E3 conference of Battlefield 1942. I felt the same excitement today seeing all the videos as I did 9 years ago. This is gonna be epic!

Same here I've LOVED battlefield ever sense I got 1942 for a gift, every new game they come out with is not just a wast of time like cod or halo its a fun enjoyable game that I don't get mad at because they learn from other people's mistakes so they don't make them and starting off with the bad company series they were great, they were funny, fun, never ending and loved multi, then cam 1943 and bad company 2 both fun games still play #2 today, a little sad to here about the end of bad company but the gameplay, the fps, the new distruction will surly make up for that! They really hit the ball out of the park this time :)! Yea no more COD ever!

I know how you feel, I've been a fan since Battlefield 1942 and I remember the large amount of excitement for Battlefield 2 ;D I still play 1942 LAN and Bf2 and Project Reality Mod

if a game gives you the same feeling as 9 years ago, it must be pretty special. Alot of games recently just are the biggest fails. I have high hopes for this :)

That's what I love about Battlefield, the feeling I get when playing it. I simply don't get that feeling when playing any of the CODs. COD is just a game, but Battlefield is an experience. I HOPE that Battlefield will out sell COD so maybe it will be a little slap on the head to wake up and stop selling us the same old game yearly! It would be nice to get COD back up on its feet so there can be a little competition Judging by the games that COD has been dishing out, there is no competition!

This is exactly why I still play Bad Company 2 over any other game. I have logged tons of hours in Call of Duty Black Ops, it's a solid game, but that's just it. I jumped into Battlefield multiplayer and felt like I was in an actual battle. People don't even realize but they make up their own objectives in the game without the need for constant guidance (Brink). For example, we have just taken B on Atacama Desert but a helicopter is threatening that by killing off dudes at the point. The next objective is to bring down the helicopter.. either use the AA gun or have an engi launch rockets.. I dunno the game is always changing and it is always due to player actions. It's almost like sandbox.

It will be better that's for sure but we all know that MW3 will still more popular. i hope that some cod gamers will change to battlefiled so things will change and be more exciting .

Agreed but the only reason i ever pick up a cod game is to play with all my friends that already bought it and are playing it. But when i pick up a battlefield game I'm having the best time playing a game whether with my friends or not. I found a comment once that summed up cod at least 4me and my friends " Your playing COD cause you are addicted not because your having fun".

I agree too. I unfortunatly didn't here about BF until a couple of years ago, and I picked up BC1. I was blown away, and then I bought BC2 when it came out. Now this game is here and I can't wait for more!!! Its about time that CoD has been pushed off its pedestal, its just full of screaming 8 year olds and douche bags. Battlefield is full of teamwork and realism, best shooter! \m/

It was the year 2005, I was at gamestop and I noticed some tanks on the xbox version of Battlefield 2. The kid at the counter told me it's a good game. That same night my roommate and I stayed up til 3 am playing it. Since then I have been a die hard fan of everything Battlefield. I got all my friends playing this game and it is the only game I play every night. This game is amazing the way it is. Now you introduce Battlefield 3 which seems light years ahead of any other war game ever made. I have never cared to stay up at a midnight release, I always thought my sleep is more important than any game. Battlefield 3, I will be up at midnight wearing my como pants in line to get my 60 dollar game that will bring me a 1,000 of hours of modern war fun. Thank you Dice and EA for this amazing game. This is simply beautiful ,I have always been a Battlefield fan and After watching the Ustream and seeing some of BF3 multiplayer this is definitely the FPS I have been waiting for and can't wait for haha ,but really DICE you deserve every rewards you guys get ,because DICE is truly a team of hard worker people who are out to make games better and not look for to much profit ;)

With that being said please EA do not mess this game up like you did Fight Night Champion and bad company 2 and allow ppl to buy the stuff that should be earned in game. I agree with the V.I.P. pass because you have dedicated servers but thats it.
