E3 2011: It’s A Wrap!
You asked for it and now you got it: Battlefield 3 unveiled its multiplayer modes at this year’s E3, and the response has been tremendous! As of the publish time for this article, Battlefield 3 has received 31 “Best of E3” award nominations, and GamePro has named Battlefield 3 as the “Best FPS” at E3! More importantly, you, our amazing fans, enjoyed what you saw as well.

Thousands of people lined up to play Battlefield 3, with some fans waiting as much as five hours to see the game, and we made sure that as many of you as possible got a chance to take a crack at BF3 for yourselves. Along with that, we made sure that (mostly) every person who played the game had a customized Battlefield 3 dog tag of their very own! Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by! We couldn’t have done it without you.
Earlier today, we saw that famed game luminary Hideo Kojima had a chance to take a look at what’s in store for Battlefield 3, and his response was extremely flattering. “The tank battle image from ‘Battlefield 3’ is brilliant,” said Kojima-san. “It is the best I have ever seen in the last five years. ‘DICE’ is great.” Thank you, Kojima-san for the kind words. It’s truly an honor, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for your next project. Care to see more of what Hideo Kojima had to say about Battlefield 3? You can read the rest right here.
The Battlefield 3 booth had multiplayer matches going at all times, where our fans got to play Operation Metro for the very first time, against the veteran QA team at DICE, and we had a few unexpected, but certainly pleasant surprises. Not only were our fans playing Operation Metro, we had celebrities stopping by, such as Xzibit, members of the U.S. Army, and even a USAF Airman keeping an eye on things.

For all of our Battlefield fans who couldn’t make it to E3 in person, we’re not leaving you out of the party. The Battlefield Play4Free team brought some BF P4F codes to redeem exclusive E3 in-game items, and to make sure those at home get to be included in the festivities, we’re now providing this code for everyone to enjoy. This one code is good for several users, but here’s the catch: it expires on June 10, 2011, so if you’d like some E3 goodies from your pals at EA, be sure to redeem the code today.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to take a look at Battlefield 3! Be sure to check in to our E3 2011 page for all of our updates from the show floor.
