Sadly it wont, their rep is based on noobs who buy every sequel to a top selling game without the ability to choose based on how advanced the game is, their old name for bieng a good fps established by the first three CoD games (which are still fun for some original xbox gaming), and noob supporting perks, care packages, and streak bonuses. There will always be more noobs than legit players......

But the CEO of Activision said we should all be worried because all weve been shown is PC footage and that this isnt 60 frames per second! IM SO CONFUSED!?!?!? BATTLEFIELD 3 equals the bar that will be set for all future games of this type including those yet to be released on future consoles. Call of Dootie is old news...made on 12 year old middleware used by id interactive to make Quake. FROSTBITE 2 is the result of several years of hard work and innovation. Call of Dookies engine is older than the tweens that play it. KEEP INOVATING AND ENTERTAINING DICE!!! the addition you will have to put on the back of your office complex to house all of the awards BATTLEFIELD 3 has earned and has yet to earn will be space well spent...IM SO FRIGGIN EXCITED FOR THIS GAME!!!!!!!

If modern warfare hadn't come out this game wouldn't be here? I thought that I played Battlefield2 MODERN COMBAT on xbox before xbox360 even came out oh **** I did I still have the game copyright says 2005.. COD4MW didn't come out until 2007. It's safe to say Dice has a long history of making first person shooters set in modern times.

The game is made at 60 FPS just you have to find the certain place that they uploaded the video at 60 FPS I've seen it and its smooth as hell but they also put all of the animations at 120 FPS since they know people can run it that high

yeah it will be cool but quit downing call of duty just because they didn't have time to make a new engine. battle field comes out years apart so they have a lot of extra time. Modern warfare had 2 years and they concentrated on gameplay and they still find time to make the engine better. also, every multiplayer game has annoying 12 year olds, not just COD. now instead of yelling at COD like the 12 year olds your complaining about, try making a mature observation and use a better outlook. And yes i'm a call of duty fan and i already pre ordered MW3. But i also can't wait for the Battlefield beta on thursday. Both games will be great.

I don't consider myself to be a BG or CoD fanboy, but you have to admit that Activision not investing in a new game engine after the shedload of money the franchise has made them is a bit lazy. I know they only have a 2 year window for each title (alternating between studios) but there's nothing to stop them developing a new engine separately from the development of the latest title. You're right in saying DICE have had longer to build Frostbite 2.0, but it is Frostbite 2.0 ie, building on what they did with Frostbite 1, which wasn't all that long ago really. Having said that, as you say, both these latest games will be great!

Listen, if I was on the Battlefield, Helicopters flying, Jets rawring, Soldiers screaming, enemies dying - I would go with "Two Steps from Hell" album. Two Steps from Hell - Forces of Destiny or some of Heart of Courage, but Jay-Z? Jay-Z doesn't make me want to buy a game, nor make me feel like Rocky. Two Steps from Hell makes me feel like a Soldier with power. DICE, LISTEN TO THE SOLDIERS THAT BUY THE GAME!

I still play bf2... just cant beat the choppers, tanks, and other vehicles... never really got into the jets, but they are great in bf2... wow i cant wait to get this going... BF Forever!! Very nice job on the downsizing to console Dice! You guys rock! Im like a little boy again every trailer I see of this game! I almost immediately have to go play bf2 just to get my fix from the jones the trailers give me!!

and btw, after i played bc and bc2... couldn't stand em that much... I have been waiting for something more similar to the bf2 experience for a looooooong time now! So freakin stoked about this one! 5 more days to BETA!!!!! Was very dissapointed to hear that while gamestop was saying the early beta access would come with their preorder... it looks as though EA forgot that they had told all the other outlets about this... making all these retail places look like fools and deal with a ton of griping... I don't care cause its only two more days, but come on! Quit making promises and then changing it to suit your pocketbooks... I will never order from origin... I'm a GameStopper for life!

To be honest, I still think the lighting and detail is good for the 360. Of course it's not like the PC, but I hope they did everything they could to make it a similar cinematic experience. Regardless, I'm too cheap to make a custom plaform and don't care enough to go that route. Of course I spend most of my time watching the videos and snips of information all over the internet to piece together what the game's experience will be like. The multiplayer will be fantsatic and the unlocks will give me something to blow time on. The campaign will take a back seat for a day or two. Can't wait to squad up with my xbox teammates in Oct.!

Lol i love how everyone is too stupid to look at the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon BF3 vid for PS3 gameplay. And to those of you that think just because its PS3 it'll suck.... let me inform you of something. DICE thinks that the PS3 is the only console that will be able to handle BF3 like the PC does. And if you see the Late Night vid you will see that the PS3 version looks JUST as good as the PC one does. Even the lighting is still there. So if you wanna make fun of the PS3, think again.

get it straight the ps3 will not and never rival a PC with those outdated dx9 graphics. There is no tesselation, no depth of field, no real time lighting and real time shadows. Even if the PS3 had DX10 and DX11 capabilities, the RSX GPU runs at 550MHz with only 250MB vram is equivalent to a low end PC GPU. Read the recommended specs for PC and read up on your hardware and middle ware and come back with a different outlook. They will attempt to hide the lack of details with shadows and making some places overly bright or some crap but there will still be a big difference to the trained eye.

PS3 = as powerful as a 3.0ghz Quad Core, 8 gigs of Ram, Dual Graphics cards? ...Laughable. Xbox 360 is even worse by specs. All I gotta say is were all gamers, lets enjoy the Game no matter how you play

Your PS3 will never come close to matching the performance of the PC. Sorry, but your statements are sooooooo false. 30fps is gonna allow for bigger maps and smoother gameplay as stated by the COO of EA. Whether its 60 or 30fps were gonna be playing the greatest shooter ever. make sure you all look for FBombBusch on xbox live to play with. Ill be on the beta as well, make sure you post comments on EA's forums for feedback on the beta so they can tweak the game here and there to make it smoother and again THE BEST DAMN GAME EVER!
