All i got to say is, DICE listen to what the players want, BF2 Modern Combat, best game ever on PS2 period! Please give us server browsers and the vote to kick option, just like before, and more than 4 people in a squad, make the control schemes customisable, in my opinion, BC1 and BC2 wasnt really Battlefield... c'mon DICE, DON'T DROP THE BALL, a lot of people i know have high hopes for this game including myself, conquest should have at least 4 flags, we like the big maps! and bring back Capture The Flag! the power of the ps3 should be no problem for you guys, just look at maps like Backstab and Deadly Pass and Russian Border and Little Big Eye! I know you guys still got it, Dont let us down! Thank you.

the BF series for console had no comparison to the pc version of BF" and the new BF3 i bloody hope will be the new pc version without being the same game as any console version ( BFBC2) witch was a pile of crap btw... we pc gamers have been waiting a veeery long time for this so lets hope it isnt a disapointment..

@KrAz3E: Bc1 and Bc2 are no "real" battlefields, dice knows that and that is why the names are different. battlefield 3, as the names suggest, is a real follow up on battlefield 2. and btw by a decent pc, battlefields origin is the pc and best gameplay in my opinion is on pc ;) anyways: cant wait for battlefield 3!!

There is no doubt this game will be superior on the PC, always has and will continue to be for a long time. PC graphics, speed and power are no match for consoles at this point and they might not ever be who knows. I'm hoping the PC version supports EyeInfinity like BC2 did.

Couldn't agree more! The CoD series was made for 10 year old boys and girls that run around and think no scoping is so cool and drop-shotting every chance they get. The quality is terrible, graphics are horrible and killstreaks promote camping.

Only if the fix the flippin server problems. and make the thing stable. BC2 is a year old and they have barely started to get it to settlle down. At least it is not telling me that there are no servers found anymore.

I agree they need to fix the server problems but let's be real, they aren't going to fix them. The server technology they are using for BFBC2 is way out of date. BF3 is supposed to introduce a new server architecture that will hopefully eliminate or at least lessen the problems we've had with BFBC2.

Battlefield and EA came out with a modern warfare concept long before Infinity Ward and COD. Battlefield 2: 2005. COD 4 Modern Warfare: 2007. So Call of Duty has always been, is, and always will be behind. Plus Battlefield's gameplay is much more realistic. That guy is just another one of the douches who jumped on the Call of Duty bandwagon so he wouldn't feel left out.

If you remember correctly, Call of Duty trumped Medal of Honor. At that time the Battlefield series was to be known for the fact that it had land, air, and sea combat.

with 64 players on console the game would look like mag. you cant push consoles together and get good graphics or even 60 frames a sec. some games on consoles today dont even run 60 fps

I never got into the PC FPS because I never felt there was a game worth playing for me to spend the money for a capable PC....This is the game that will wring my pockets dry. Wow, can't wait for release day.

black ops IS a kids game. too cartoony and arcady for anyone who has a taste for squad based team tactical shooters. Just because you kill people and say cuss words doesn't change who the attracted audience is. The 9 year olds are still going to find the game and play it. Making it more realistic and harder to play the system is what attracts the mature adult gamers. Not cussing and graphic blood n stuff. I really hope they keep with the IRL squad structure. 4-man fire teams (ready, team, fire, assist) and if they decide to do major (60+ man games) then incorporate the 3-4 fire teams per squad rule of thumb. (on that note, the squad leader doesn't have his own fire team. Neither does the guide, platoon Sgt, or platoon commander. At least this is how it works in the USMC and seeing as how the trailers so far have had heavy emphasis on the USMC, I hope they keep things as close to real as possible. It would ruin it for me if they got stupid stuff like knife lunges, or dual wielding shotguns or some crap like that. My biggest thing (and they've done really well in the past with this) is to continue doing research on the mechanics of the weapons in the game. LMG=low recoil+high damage+high mag count+high reload time. SMG=High recoil+low damage+quick reload etc. remember: Low weight=high recoil. The size of the bullet has little to do with this. To end: I love BF2BC2 and have been a fan of the series since I bought it. can't claim vet status but I can say that I have enjoyed everything I've played so far. Keep up the amazing work guys.

C'mon DICE, lets bring BATTLEFIELD back, give us server browsers and the option to vote to kick players, and more than 4 people in a squad, we like the large maps! Conquest should have at least 4 flags, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat on PS2 BEST GAME EVER! Look at maps like Backstab and Deadly Pass and Russian Border and Little Big Eye, Bring back Capture The Flag! i know you guys can do it, just listen to what the people want! BC1 and BC2 wasnt really Battlefield to me, good job on Vietnam though, most importantly is the prone position, a lot of people i know including myself miss it. Thank you (VeTeRaN StAtUs)

u got it right on the dot dude, BFMC2 gave a sense of community too because of the intricate leader boards and clans. I still play with like four other BFMC2 clans on BC2 today, we are all waiting... the BF community will return.

Agree with the first part...need to allow bigger teams/squads, etc. Either allow for a separate team option (where you can have two teams of 8) or boost the squads up to 6 players (squad is actually as many as 6 combatants, 4-5 team and 1 leader). I think both options would be great, I mean look at COD BOps...they have multiple options. Also, add Free For All mode, as well. Silly not to have it. And, of course, a way to boot people out of your squad via a vote of the majority of players. Also, an option to block people from spawning on you if you don't want it (sniper in cover..suddenly 3 idiots spawn in on top of you and blow your cover). Additionally, a way to challenge people to a match on team death match. Some way of making it so that you can have team battles and challenges with people who are or are not on your friends list for xbox live. Personally, I was disappointed by Vietnam, but glad they made it as it provided more options to play BF while waiting for BF3.

sniper operations are good and have their place, but if you are in a good squad you should communicate. most gamers just snipe because they think its cool not to cover an objective or facilitate the teams mission (xcom stations, flags etc). I think that snipers should have even more limited ammo, limited respawns but should have the option to go prone, and to actively call out a target to anyone on his team. Its really irritating to have one player on your team who thinks he is joe marine corps scout sniper but doesn't know how to employ the class effectively or to the betterment of the team/game.

I read this past months gameinformer and they addressed the multiplayer aspect of the game. and how they will be adding bigger lobby sizes, some form of personalization to the gun, and much more. I recommend you read up on that article, its a good read lol :P

Well squad is derived from the Italian Exquade, meaning square. Which means 4 and fire teams means separate divisions, not an entire group, but hey Im just a kid so i really dont give a **** whether im correct or not. But thanks for correcting me!

That's the definition of a World War II rifle squad. In today's Army, a fireteam is the smallest unit, consisting of four soldiers (Team Leader who is a Sergeant, then a Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman, and a Rifleman who can be either PVTs, PFCs, SPCs, or CPLs). A squad is made up of two fireteams plus a Staff Sergeant as a squad leader, bringing the total number of soldiers in the current rifle squad up to nine. In the Marine Corps, a squad is three fireteams instead of two, so a USMC rifle squad will have thirteen soldiers instead of the Army's nine.

Ya, there is going to be a beta. Its only being handed on a silver platter to those who preordered Medal of Honor, or got the spec edition unfortunately. Although that game in itself was a huge flop, the code made it worth the purchase, since the battlefield franchise is by far my favorite FPS game to date, stomping on Cod even.

Here is an easy way to fix most of your problems you are having.. Buy a PC! Get off the console, grab a mouse and keyboard and actually play some real BF. Also don't even call "veteran status" if you haven't even played BF1942/DC.

I have played 1942 and i love it. Also, i have a PC and console both and i consider the console a lot less of a hassle. A PC you have to update quite a bit to have the top of the line graphics and such. A console is less expensive, although you don't get the full experience you get with a PC, but your set until the next gen console comes out in 5 or 6 years.

I'd love to see: 6 man squads, original med kits, ability to see your own health, original kits, restore flight controls to BF2 standards, 60 player maps and maybe even the commander. But hey, the graphics look good so I'm excited about that. In fact, if they would restore BF2 with these graphics it would be orgasmic.

Black Hawk Down and Joint Ops already had 100 player maps before Battlefield. They may have been out before 2142, but they already pushed that envelope. It is nice to see 64 player maps back though.

More than 4 people in a fire team? They would never do that because that is unrealistic. It goes 4 man fire teams, and 3 - 4 fire teams per squad. It's always been that way. Speaking from an experienced Ex-U.S. Marine...

Dont care for the teleport. I think that there should be a slight animation. But there should be smoke grenades. Pop smoke run to vehicle, get it under concealment. Will cause others to blind fire. More realistic. Or will cause you to park a vehicle in cover to get get in or out. Again more realism.

Mee too!@ I want night fights just like in Battlefield 2 "Special Forces" Devil's Perch, it felt like that awesome night scene in blackhawk down, so good, jus sucks it didn't take off, if they only hung in there and realized how much fun that map would've been. There was a grappling hook and an arrow to shoot a zip line and jus a buncha added stuff
