    It's great to see a game developer use our $ to actually develop and not copy their previous games. I think a good way to really capture a greater portion of the market is to offer some additional variations to the MP. This can be accomplished post release. I respect the difference this MP offers but a large portion of FPS players also enjoy the close and quick paced non-team oriented style of play like COD games. Why not offer a separate play list that mimics that style. I'm sorry if I offended

      Battlefield 3 offer a huge amount of maps listed for different variations of gameplay. For example, Operation Metro offers close range fire battles and corner to corner tactics, and Grand Bazaar offers close range and long rage combat too. With Call of Duty all the maps are close ranged and fast paced, that's what makes CoD the way it is today. But Battlefield 3 offer different selection of maps suiting the needs and styles for all gamers.

      i totally agree with you. i personaly love the fast paced close quartes gamplay of call of duty. However, i also love the long rang vehicle warfare and strategy based battlefield games. thats why im buying mw3 and bf3. its good that these games are different and no game should recieve hate for being so. two thumbs up to you man

      Yeah, sometimes I want to play in fast-paced non-team oriented style too. But i don't want to play in that style for whole match. It's kinda sick to play like CoD while you actually play BF3 for whole match.

        I don't know, I feel like this is a different kind o f game from CoD. I like it more, but i think everybody is entitled to their opinions. I've been playing more MW2 in the past month than Battlefield, So i think the games are made to do what they do well.

    These really are incredible graphics and I'm sure when all the people say I want to see heaps of destruction and everything I think DICE will deliver. Frostbite 2 is fantastic, BF3 will be one of the top games of 2011. Actually right now I think it's one of the top 3 that I would say are in the running for game of the year in 2011 and the gameplay looks great, like I say can't wait for this game it's going to be EPIC. Battlefield 3.

    When Bad Company 2 came out i was amazed by the graphics and how well they did. I was wondering how Battlefield 3 could even be better until i saw the trailers and realized that they somehow made a game more realistic and beautiful than i could imagine.

      BF1 would be 1942. You're not getting that on a console, unless they take development time out of BF3 to make it compatible with a console. And no one wants that...

    I never knew how bitter PC players were/are....... I'm pretty sure playing bf3 on a 55 inch , 1080p with sorround sound can't be that bad..... sad.... to each his own...

      Theres a reason for those vga ports in the half pint 55" you can plug a computer into it, just like a 100" tv, or if you like that tri panel view you could use 3 30" tv's

      Yeah I'm pretty sure playing 32x32 players at real 1080p at 60+ frames per second with better graphics on my 42 inch 7.1 surround....sad...to each his own I guess. :)

        So sad, how someone STILL needs to get with the program... If you didn't know (which you apparently don't), DICE and several gaming magazines have already finalized that Battlefield 3 on the Consoles and Battlefield 3 on the PC will NOT have any major difference in graphics, if any at all (-_-') The ALSO said that the 60 fps is a UNIVERSAL change to the series "sequel". And "real" 1080p w/ a 42 inch 7.1 Surround Sound? Are you serious--I mean come ON! We've got 3D and HDMI TV's which a comp. monitor may also have, but VERY unlikely same quality. Prob worse, no offense. Not to say that 42 inch for a TV is HARDLY close to AVERAGE for console gaming AND that the cost to buy a good no lag gaming computer (without upgraded graphics card and etc.) costs more or less the same as a ready-to-play Blue Ray included PS3. But then, WITH the graphics card and etc. the cost goes WAY over the horizon... so sad...to each his own I guess. OK, now, with all that flame war SH*T out of the way, I will say as a civilized (directed at the unfortunate behavior of the CoD community) fellow BF gamer, the original Battlefield series was indeed based for the PC and computer systems rather than consoles, prob since the computer was more advanced than consoles at the time (maybe also now with the right upgrades) AND the computer has more options of control and customization. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your BF3 experience on the PC and sincerely hope you try out/purchase a console sometime--as long as its not a Xbox... Don't get me started on the PSN downage and how "Xbox is hack free" BS... PS3 is still better overall (even to the tedious performance stats) and has served me well for MANY YEARS :D

    To give you an idea about how much better BF 3 is than COD, imagine a pile of dog poop VS a flaming T-Rex with shotguns for arms with Chuck Norris riding on his back, who's holding an enormous machete, while God himself comes down from Heaven and starts playing the electric guitar. Kinda weird but I think that's the most accurate comparison
