DUAL ENTITLEMENT

Madden NFL 23 on PlayStation®5 and XBox Series X|S introduces the all-new FieldSENSE™ Gameplay System, which provides the foundation for consistent ultra-realistic gameplay and equips players with more control at every position.

The Madden NFL 23 All Madden Edition will enable you to benefit from Dual Entitlement, which lets you upgrade your copy of Madden NFL 23 from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S at no additional cost.

HERE'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HOW DUAL ENTITLEMENT WORKS IN MADDEN NFL 23.

 

What does Dual Entitlement mean?

Dual Entitlement means you can upgrade your copy of the Madden NFL 23 All Madden Edition from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S at no additional cost.

Simply put, it gives you access to the game on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, or Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

 

Does everyone get Dual Entitlement with the purchase of Madden NFL 23?

Dual Entitlement is only available with the purchase of the Madden NFL 23 All Madden Edition. The Standard Edition of Madden NFL 23 does not include Dual Entitlement.

That means if you purchase Madden NFL 23 Standard Edition on PS4 and upgrade to PS5 later, you would need to purchase the PS5 version of the game to play.

 

What if I upgrade from Playstation 4 to Xbox Series X|S, or Xbox One to playstation 5?

The Dual Entitlement upgrade is only available, with purchase of the All Madden Edition, when you upgrade from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.

 

Do I have to purchase Madden NFL 23 digitally to benefit from Dual Entitlement?

Yes, you will need to purchase the Madden NFL 23 All Madden Edition which is only available digitally to take advantage of the Dual Entitlement offer.

 

Once I upgrade can I go back to Playstation 4 or Xbox One?

Yes, you’ll be able to play Madden NFL 23 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One after taking advantage of the Dual Entitlement offer.

 

Can I play the Playstation 4 version of Madden NFL 23 on my Playstation 5, or the Xbox One version on my Xbox Series X|S?

Yes, you can download and play the PlayStation 4 version of Madden NFL 23 on your PlayStation 5, and the Xbox One version of Madden NFL 23 on your Xbox Series X|S.

 

Does Dual Entitlement give me access to both the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 versions of Madden NFL 23, or both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of Madden NFL 23?

Yes, with Dual Entitlement you’ll be able to access and play both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 version of Madden NFL 23 on your PlayStation 5, or both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S version of Madden NFL 23 on your Xbox Series X|S.

You can switch back and forth between each version of the game, providing they are both installed on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

 

Will Playstation 5 players be able to match up and play against Playstation 4 players? What about Xbox Series X|S players with Xbox One?

No, you will not be able to match up with other players on the same console family in online sessions. .

 

Will my pre-order content from Playstation 4 or Xbox One carry over to Playstation 5 or Xbox Series X|S?

If you redeem pre-order content in Madden NFL 23 on PlayStation 4 you will continue to be able to receive and access that content, when using the same account, in Madden NFL 23 on PlayStation 5. If you pre-ordered Madden NFL 23 on PlayStation 4, but waited to play the game first on PlayStation 5, you will still receive the content on the applicable account.

What content will carry over if I upgrade to a next generation console?

  • Franchise & Face of the Franchise: Franchise & Face of the Franchise specifics do not carry over, so you’ll get the chance to rebuild and recreate your team/career with incredible updates on the newest consoles.
  • Madden Ultimate Team: Everything in Madden Ultimate Team carries over EXCEPT progress in competitive modes.
  • The Yard: All progression in The Yard carries over.
